I am BERINYUY ROLAND, a student with a heavy but hopeful heart. I come from a humble home where my mother is sick and disabled. Because of her illness, she’s unable to take care of herself or properly provide for our family.
Growing up around friends and peers, I have seen many young people take the “easy way out” — turning to fraud or other harmful shortcuts just to survive in a hard environment. But I made a decision early on: I don’t want to be that person. I refuse to betray the trust of others or inflict pain on innocent people just to “get by.” I believe that dignity, hard work and perseverance matter more than quick money.
My dream now is simple but important: I want to learn a real trade or skill that will help me build an honest livelihood — and I want to combine that with completing my education so I have real, stable opportunities. But there’s a problem: I don’t even have a phone or a laptop — tools many of us take for granted. Without them, learning skills, studying, finding opportunities — it becomes nearly impossible.
I’m hoping to raise $10,000. If I reach this amount, here’s how I plan to use it:
Part will go toward my school fees, textbooks, transport, and daily upkeep — so I can stay in school despite our difficult home situation.
Part will be used to acquire essential tools — like a basic laptop or smartphone — that I need to learn a trade or skill online or through self-study.
With those tools and my resolve, I will work hard and honestly to build a small business or start freelancing — to support myself, help my mother, cater to my siblings’ needs, and break the cycle of poverty in my family.
I understand times are hard. I know many people are in need. But I promise — this is not a plea for a quick fix. This is me asking for a chance — a chance to build something honest, to stay away from crime, to create dignity out of despair, to give hope to my family.
If you can, please support me — even a little helps ($50, $100 or more). If you cannot donate, you can still help by sharing my campaign with friends, family, or anyone who’d care to help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this. Your help — in any form — is a step toward hope, education, and a better future.
With gratitude,
BERINYUY ROLAND
